On Sunday, May 26th, Star Group had another record-breaking year of support for the Humpty Dumpty Foundation's Balmoral Burn, with over 50 team members and family taking on the hill!
In recognition of 10 years of supporting Humpty, this year, Star Group were the race category sponsor for the Celebration Run, which many of our people participated in, along with fielding three teams of four runners in the corporate relays.
A special mention to one of our relay teams - Jack Mulvey, John Andrews, Blake Hopkins, and Matthew Costelloe - for their victory and successful defence of our 2023 title in the Building & Construction industry race!
Through community and corporate support, the 2024 Burn raised $1.5 million. These funds go directly to help support Humpty in providing medical equipment & health initiatives to around 500 hospitals and health services across Australia. Star Group’s support this year included a donation of medical equipment to John Hunter Children’s Hospital, a hospital close to our business through our current involvement in the delivery of the John Hunter Health & Innovation Precinct project.
Congratulations to all involved. It was a massive and inspiring effort by both the courageous first-time runners as well as the veterans who willingly returned to feel the burn for Humpty!
