After the successful completion of the Shortland WWTP Hazchem Upgrade with Eire Constructions, Star Group is proud to announce that we have also been awarded the electrical and communications services for the HAZCHEM Treatment Safety and Containment upgrade and the UV upgrade at Grahamstown Water Treatment Plant (WTP).
The scope of upgrade works includes the chemical delivery, storage, and dosing systems for chemical systems, including hydrated lime, polymer, aluminium sulphate, chlorine, and fluoride and an ultraviolet (UV) disinfection system treating filtered water from the existing WTP.
The Grahamstown Water Treatment Plant has a peak supply capacity of 257 megalitres per day and supplies safe drinking water to 390,000 people in the lower Hunter region.
